Duke does not publish one flat number for every system, so pull the current offer for your address rather than trusting a figure you read somewhere else.
The state program
Indiana runs its own rebates through the Office of Energy Development. The Indiana Energy Saver homeowner incentives page covers two of them. HOMES pays on whole-home retrofits that reach at least 20% predicted energy savings. HEAR covers select first-time upgrades for households under 150% of the area median income. Applications are open, and the state says the rebate comes off the product and installation up front. The federal tax credit has closed
This is the one homeowners still get told wrong. The IRS energy efficient home improvement credit, the 25C credit, is allowed for qualifying property placed in service before December 31, 2025. A system installed in 2026 does not qualify. If a quote you are holding works a federal tax credit into the 2026 math, ask whoever wrote it to show you the IRS page.
