Southern Indiana's Go-To for Ductless Mini Split Installation

Henry Brothers sizes, installs, and tests ductless mini split systems for homes across Clark and Floyd County. We look at the problem first. If a repair makes more sense, we'll tell you. No pressure. No upsells.

What's Included in Every Install

Load Calculation & Sizing

We measure the space, factor in insulation, windows, and sun exposure. The system matches the room — not a sales quota.

Equipment Selection

We prefer Daikin. It runs quiet, holds up in the Ohio Valley, and the warranty is straightforward. We'll walk you through why.

Line Set Routing

Clean runs, tight connections, proper insulation. We route the line set to keep things looking right on the outside of your home too.

Electrical & Disconnect

Dedicated circuit, proper disconnect, everything to code. No cutting corners on the wiring.

Full System Testing

We don't leave until we've tested heating and cooling modes, checked refrigerant levels, and made sure every zone responds.

Walkthrough With You

Before we leave, we show you how to use the remote, set schedules, and what to watch for. You'll know your system.

Where We Install

Ductless works in places traditional HVAC can't reach. Here's where we see the biggest impact.

Garages & Workshops

Year-round comfort without running ductwork from the house. A single-zone unit handles most two-car garages.

Sunrooms & Additions

The room your existing system can't keep up with. A ductless head solves it without reworking your entire HVAC.

Older Homes Without Ducts

Plaster walls, no closet space for a furnace — ductless was made for homes like these across Southern Indiana.

Whole-Home Multi-Zone

One outdoor unit, multiple indoor heads. Each room sets its own temperature. No fighting over the thermostat.

Why Ductless Over Traditional

No Ductwork Needed

No tearing open walls or ceilings. A small hole through the wall connects indoor and outdoor units. That's it.

Room-by-Room Control

Each zone has its own thermostat. Cool the bedroom at night. Heat the office during the day. Only pay for what you use.

Better Efficiency

Inverter-driven compressors adjust speed instead of cycling on and off. Lower bills, quieter operation, longer life.

No Surprises

Common Questions

How long does a mini split installation take?

Most single-zone installs are done in one day — typically 4 to 6 hours. Multi-zone systems with several indoor heads take longer, usually a full day or into a second day depending on the number of units and how complicated the line set routing is.

Do I need an electrician for a mini split installation?

A dedicated circuit and disconnect are required for every mini split. Henry Brothers handles the electrical work as part of the installation — you do not need to hire a separate electrician.

What brand of mini split do you install?

We prefer Daikin. They run quiet, hold up well in the Ohio Valley climate, and the warranty is straightforward. We have experience with other brands and will work with your situation, but Daikin is what we put our name behind.

How do you know what size mini split I need?

We do a load calculation before recommending a system. That means measuring the space, factoring in insulation, ceiling height, window exposure, and sun orientation. Guessing based on square footage alone often leads to an oversized or undersized system — both cause problems.

Will a mini split work in a Southern Indiana winter?

Yes. Modern mini splits with inverter compressors are rated to heat effectively down to 0°F and below. Southern Indiana winters are well within the range of current heat pump technology. We have installed systems here that perform reliably year-round.
